Beirut, 24 gennaio 2019 – Ieri, l’Ambasciatore d’Italia a Beirut, Massimo Marotti, ha conferito la decorazione dell’Ordine della Stella d’Italia – rango di Cavaliere – a Charles Arbid, Presidente del Consiglio Economico e Sociale durante una cerimonia svoltasi presso la sede dell’Ambasciata d’Italia a Baabda.

Nel suo intervento, l’Ambasciatore Marotti ha sottolineato che, grazie alla sua esperienza nel settore privato, Arbid è riuscito a stabilire ed espandere i suoi contatti con aziende italiane e straniere, avendo un impatto positivo sui marchi italiani della moda in Libano e contribuendo alla diffusione di un modello di business italiano.

L’ambasciatore Marotti ha sottolineato che l’Italia sostiene gli sforzi degli imprenditori libanesi per rafforzare e sviluppare attività industriali e creazione di posti di lavoro in Libano. L’Italia è stato il primo paese a promuovere e finanziare un progetto per la creazione di tre zone industriali approvate l’anno scorso dal Consiglio dei ministri e incluse nel piano d’azione presentato dal Libano alla conferenza CEDRE.

Il conferimento di questa decorazione testimonia il rapporto profondamente radicato tra le comunità imprenditoriali dei due paesi e costituisce un riconoscimento agli imprenditori libanesi che si impegnano a portare avanti le istituzioni statali, rafforzando così le possibilità delle comunità mediterranee di essere più sicure e più sicure futuro prospero.

Award of the Order of the Star of Italy to Mr. Charles Arbid

Beirut, 24 January 2019 – Yesterday, the Ambassador of Italy Massimo Marotti has conferred the decoration of the Order of the Star of Italy –Knight rank – upon Mr. Charles Arbid, President of the Economic and Social Council at a ceremony held at the headquarters of the Italian Embassy in Baabda.

In his address, Ambassador Marotti underlined that, thanks to Mr. Arbid’s experience in the private sector, he managed to establish and expand his contacts with both Italian and foreign companies, having a positive impact on Italian fashion brands in Lebanon and contributing to the spread of an Italian model of business.

Ambassador Marotti highlighted that Italy supports the efforts of Lebanese entrepreneurs to strengthen and develop industrial activities and job creation in Lebanon. Italy was the first country to promote and finance a project for the creation of three industrial zones approved last year by the Council of Ministers and included in the action plan presented by Lebanon at CEDRE conference.

The bestowal of this decoration bears witness to the deep-rooted relationship between the business communities of the two countries and constitutes an acknowledgment towards Lebanese entrepreneurs who are committed to moving forward State institutions, thus strengthening the chances of the Mediterranean communities for a safer and more prosperous future.

بيروت، في 24 كانون الثاني 2019– قلّد السفير الإيطالي في لبنان ماسيمو ماروتي أمس وسام النجمة الإيطالية من رتبة فارس إلى السيد شارل عربيد، رئيس المجلس الاقتصادي والاجتماعي، في خلال حفل أقيم في مقر السفارة الإيطالية في بعبدا.

وأكد السفير ماروتي في كلمته أن تجربة السيد عربيد الناجحة في القطاع الخاص سمحت له بنسج وتوسيع اتصالاته مع الشركات الإيطالية والأجنبية مما ترك أثرا إيجابيا على العلامات التجارية والانتاجات في مجال الأزياء الإيطالية في لبنان وساهم في نشر نموذج ايطالي يسلط الضوء على الشركات وعلى عملها من خلال صورة العلامات التجارية وجودتها.

أشار السفير ماروتي فضلا عن ذلك إلى أن إيطاليا تدعم جهود رجال الأعمال اللبنانيين لتعزيز وتطوير النشاط الصناعي وايجاد فرص العمل في لبنان. كانت إيطاليا أول دولة تقوم بتشجيع وتمويل مشروع لإنشاء ثلاث مناطق صناعية تمت الموافقة عليها العام الماضي من قبل مجلس الوزراء وأدرجت في خطة العمل التي قدمها لبنان في مؤتمر سيدرCEDRE.

يستمد تقليد هذا الوسام جذوره من عمق واتساع العلاقات بين مجتمعي الأعمال في البلدين وهو دليل امتنان تجاه رجال الأعمال اللبنانيين الملتزمين بدفع مؤسسات الدولة قدما، وبالتالي تعزيز الفرص بصورة غير مباشرة في مجتمعات البحر المتوسط ​​من أجل مستقبل أكثر أمناً وازدهاراً.
